Cultural Landscapes: Nature And Heritage Interwoven

Cultural Landscapes: Nature And Heritage Interwoven – Cultural landscapes are places where man and nature have achieved harmony. While there are many reasons to be concerned about the state of our planet and how we interact with Mother Earth, there are also many indigenous peoples who have a long history of respect and love. Around the world there are legions of people dedicated to studying and learning from places where humanity and the natural world coexist in a sustainable and co-existing way.

The cultural landscape has long been a passion of University College Dublin’s candidate for World Heritage, Leanna Wigboldos. A lover of culture, history and heritage, Leanna is a contributor to several organizations dedicated to the preservation of world heritage, including the International Council on Monuments and Sites (ICOMOS) and UNESCO.

Literary Journeys: Exploring Writers’ Homes And Museums

Literary Journeys: Exploring Writers’ Homes And Museums – When visiting the Reading Branch Library there’s no telling what discoveries you might find. Some customers explore new stories in the latest books and magazines, others attend events such as a children’s crafting workshop, and some customers, such as Greg Stallworth, wrote their own books.

As a longtime customer of the Reading Branch Library, Greg is familiar with the library staff. “I live in the Roselawn area. Being here at the Reading Branch Library has become personal. I’ve watched it grow over the years, “said Greg, “I remember the old Reading Branch, and when the Library decided to expand it into a bigger building, it got better. I call this place my home away from home. My second home.”

Indigenous Knowledge Systems: Learning From Traditional Wisdom

Indigenous Knowledge Systems: Learning From Traditional Wisdom – Let’s approach IKS notes differently. Rather than speaking generally about how the world’s 400 million indigenous peoples (UNESCO) approach knowledge acquisition, I would like to focus on a single group of indigenous peoples: the Ojibwe of North America. Indigenous groups are unique.

Indigenous Knowledge Systems: Learning From Traditional Wisdom

These notes focus more on what might be called “traditional Ojibwe culture.” Modern Ojibwe people vary in the degree to which they call themselves “traditional” or the degree to which they are influenced by traditional ways of knowing. And this is important. Some Ojibwe people rarely use IKS, while others use it a lot. And those who use the traditional IKS Ojibwe approach will still rely on reason, emotion, … Read the rest
