I recently returned from beautiful Bora Bora where I conquered one of my deepest fears of the ocean to go open water snorkeling and swimming with sharks. The most impactful part of my experience was learning the history of Polynesian culture. While the service was exemplary, it was also awesome to witness the efforts being made to preserve the wonderful island ecosystem through sustainable practices. Bora Bora was truly the trip of a lifetime!

Now, in the early afternoon, the air has only warmed a few degrees, and a lingering fog is making the limestone slippery – terrible conditions for rock climbing. But I have to try. I spent three months training hard in the gym, torturing myself on a finger strengthening device called a hangboard and doing barbells like crazy. Art And Culture By The Sea: Exploring Coastal Creativity – When I was planning which cruise to take with Princess Cruises, I was obsessed with the 10-day Galveston, Texas cruise because it included the Cayman Islands and Belize. As part of the press trip package, we were limited to 7 days, so we chose the one that included Costa Maya which borders Belize and shares the same reef territory, great for snorkeling and diving. The Costa Maya is also free of high-rise hotel chains, leaving the lagoons, archaeological gems and coastline uncrowded. And the 7-day cruise still stopped to see Roatan, Honduras, so most of the items on the list were checked off.
